BRAND AWARENESS & DONORSHIP CAMPAIGN
Client: The Business & Education Partnerships of Waterloo Region
Brand awareness by key potential stakeholders was identified as the key challenge faced by my client's organization. A comprehensive strategic communications plan, including strategy and tactical plans collaborating with a local tech company and their CSR initiatives, shaped the direction of how brand awareness would be achieved and maintained. I exceeded my client's expectations and received the Client Choice Award for outstanding contribution to meet the client's needs.
YMCA OLDER ADULTS WELLNESS PROGRAM
MARKETING PROMOTIONS RESEARCH
Client: YMCA of Cambridge, Kitchener & Waterloo
The YMCA of CKW needed to answer the question: “Which public relations tactic used to promote the YMCA Diabetes Fit Program had the greatest impact on encouraging action in their target public?”
Both quantitative survey data and in-depth qualitative interviews provided key findings and several recommendations were suggested to implement when promoting future wellness communications with older adults.

MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN
Client: Mom2Mom Africa
This campaign was shortlisted at the 2018 Emerge Media Awards held by Guelph-Humber University, Toronto. For more information about the awards, please read my "Achievements" section.
This strategic awareness campaign project was a huge professional accomplishment and it required a high level of participation from the client as well. In this project, with the client’s help, we were able to introduce viable tactics to increase community awareness for a fundraising campaign, including an increase of membership engagements with a prospective new audience.

RE-ENVISIONED CASE FOR SUPPORT
TO EMPOWER YOUNG MOTHERS TO BUILD BRIGHTER FUTURES
Client: Marillac Place
As all nonprofits know, clients' lives are impacted most by funding, grants and philanthropic partnerships. In this re-envisioned Case for Support for Marillac Place, the personal needs of its clients were captured through compelling success stories and an Executive Director's message. While the document outlines the financial need through annual reports, most importantly, it highlights donors' benefits received from giving in its call to action.
I redesigned the organization's logo and created easily understood infographics with Adobe Photoshop while creating a contemporary layout with Adobe InDesign.

This campaign legitimizes the nonprofit in the field of academia by increasing awareness with new graduates and establishing brand ambassadors with existing members to demonstrate unique membership value and professional benefits while celebrating its past, present and future role as a significant contributor to public health and nutrition.

Communicating your message through media relations is an underestimated strategic opportunity for many companies, regardless of their business sector. Media relations provide a channel for earned media to flourish.
This magazine article illustrates the exposure which developed when I pitched the brewery to key journalists and publishers; those who widen the reach of influencers and the greater public.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

Creating social media content for craft breweries requires equal parts knowledge of the brewing process and your audience. Get either of them wrong and the recipe won't measure up. But do it well and the conversation flows!
I created valuable content for Descendants Beer & Beverage Co. to build meaningful relationships with community partner, Grappleworks.
Our 2017 Father's Day BBQ event was the perfect occasion to brew up some social good. The brewery added a percentage of the day's sales to each ScrewCancer screwdriver sold, with proceeds directed to Grand River Hospital Foundation. Social media was vital in keeping the conversation going long after the final sausage was sold.
NETWORK BRANDING

Get Things Done.
Sometimes to stand out in the creative world, you must join forces with the collective strengths of businesses within your sector. That's exactly what a dozen small-sized craft breweries & cideries did in 2017. By creating the Waterloo-Wellington Ale Trail, Descendants Beer & Beverage Co and Bitte Schön Brauhaus, its smaller sister brewery, generated increased new interest with potential clients living within a radius of under two hours from downtown Toronto.
I encouraged participants to experience a fresh & flavour-filled way to explore Southwestern Ontario’s by distributing passports at local events with prizes. Awareness levels of Waterloo Region increased with measurable results in business revenue, media mentions and social media attention for both breweries.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Work-life balance. It can be a challenge but I believe in relentlessly pursuing that which makes me a greater contributor to my community. That's why I continue to volunteer, to learn, to invest in more - for me, it's the best way to develop professionally.
